Job Summary

The Finance Operations Intern will be reporting to the Manager of Network Optimization and will be responsible for ongoing network cost optimization and financial analysis support. This position will provide broad exposure on business decision making, negotiation, and data analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Network Optimization data analytics and project management.
  • Support cost management financial analysis, modeling and forecast.
  • Conduct analysis using raw data on data center usage, cost, and savings opportunities.
  • Assist with data center quotes for space, power, and interconnection products/services.
  • Market rate and vendor analysis
  • Promote sales enablement by collaborating with SE, gathering data center pricing, floor layout and operating model; then create a sharable document for use.
  • Contract review and abstracts.
  • Analyze LightPath shipping costs and identify savings opportunities.
  • Presentations and ad hoc reporting as needed.

Qualifications

  • Should have a basic understanding of financial, legal documents and accounting concepts.
  • Proactive, organized, and demonstrate a high level of self-motivation.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable working on a variety of different tasks.
  • Review new order forms for accuracy.
  • Classifies and links various financial and legal documents.
  • Prioritizes tasks based on immediate and evolving priority.
  • Identifies errors in extracted data and makes appropriate corrections based on provided source documents.
  • Works closely with the manager to maintain high quality standards.
  • Able to review financial reporting to determine variances.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. The pay range at the time of posting in the specified locations is $18.00 - $20.00 /hour. Pay ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience.
